At KNEED, we believe great design should do more than look good — it should make life easier and safer.

But for aging loved ones, especially with memory challenges, even something simple — like reheating food — using a gas or electric stove or even a microwave can be extremely dangerous.  

That’s why KNEED created the world’s first patented one-button safety microwave, thoughtfully designed to restore independence, simplicity, and peace of mind.

Core Features

One Button, One Press, One Heated Meal

Just one visible Start button to operate — that’s it. No confusing control panels. No settings to scroll through. No pressing the wrong (and dangerous) reheating times. Simply press once, and the KNEED Safety Microwave reheats the meal at the safe pre-set time every time. Opening the microwave door in mid-heating will simply reset the reheating time for the next use. Simplicity that empowers independence.

Concealed Caregiver Control Panel

Discreetly located on the side, this panel allows the caregiver or family member to preset the ideal cooking time. No accidental extra minutes by the user, no confusing steps to reset. Just the perfect heat, every time. Thoughtful, intuitive, and safe.

Reminder Alerts That Won’t Quit

When food is ready, KNEED doesn’t just beep once and stop. It plays a cheerful melody and flashes a reminder light until the door is opened. Designed for users who may forget, get distracted, or have hearing challenges. A caring and thoughtful reminder system to help those who need it most.

Flexibility to Change as Needed

We know dementia changes over time. We offer the caregiver the option to set to an ‘add 30 seconds’ mode (to a safe maximum time to 2’ 30”). This feature is for a user who could still add reheating times with a single button. Should the user’s condition change, reheating would be set to a single pre-set time. KNEED will adapt to their changing condition and needs.
